DJ BlackOut, a native New Yorker, grew up inspired by his father, a talented DJ. From an early age, he mastered the turntables and developed a deep appreciation for all genres of music. BlackOut’s passion for music took root during his teenage years, where he began DJing high school parties and local clubs across New York City. His big break came when he caught the attention of Wyclef Jean while spinning at a club. Soon after, BlackOut joined the Refugee Camp/Booga Basement as a DJ, which marked the start of his journey in the music industry.

Touring with the Refugee Camp, BlackOut honed his skills and explored music production, eventually perfecting his craft while continuing to make waves as a DJ. His dedication and talent made him a fixture in the music scene, leading to collaborations with iconic artists such as Jadakiss and MIMS on extensive tours. Seeking new challenges, BlackOut moved to Miami, Florida—a decision that proved transformative. He quickly became a staple in Miami’s nightlife, spinning at legendary venues like Level (Mansion), Crave, and Goddess.
